Get ready to experience the raw energy of live music against the stunning backdrop of Lake Superior’s Chequamegon Bay. The 6th Annual Sound Cheq Music Fest officially returns for Memorial Day Weekend, running from May 22, 2026, to May 24, 2026.
This year’s festival is larger than any in years past, transforming the vibrant lakeside community of Washburn into a multi-stage musical destination. The 2026 lineup features an eclectic mix of over 50 bands across genres, including bluegrass, swing, rock, country, folk, blues, and jazz.

The festival footprint spans six unique Washburn locations, offering attendees a true taste of small-town hospitality:
Performance Venues: 211 Martini, Lost Apostle Brewing, South Shore Brewery Taphouse, The Firehouse, The Snug, and Stage North Theater
Food & Refreshments: In addition to the great music, attendees can enjoy local flavors from various food trucks stationed throughout the event.
